4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
1 c. oleo, softened
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs

Prune filling:
3/4 # pitted prunes
1 1/4 c. water
3/4 c. sugar

Cut oleo into dry ingredients. Beat eggs, add milk and vanilla. Mix the egg, milk mixture into the dry mixture till have a medium soft dough. Set in refrigerator for at least one hour. Cook prunes in water until soft. Add sugar and beat to a paste with mixer. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Using a prune cutter, cut out , and then drop a teaspoonful of the prune mixture into the center of each ..bring four corners into center and pinch together. Bake at 375 deg. until light browned.

PRUNE TARTS




Mix:  1 1/2 c. boiling water and 1 c. rolled oats and 1/2 c. oleo
Add:  1 c. brown sugar
        1 c. white sugar
        1 1/2 c. flour
        1/2 tsp cinnamon
        1 tsp baking soda
        2 eggs

Mix all. Bake in a greased and floured 13x9x2 inch pain at 350 deg. F. for about 40 minutes.

TOPPING:

1/2 stick melted oleo
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. flaked coconut

Combine topping ingredients together, mix. Spread on warm cake. Put under broiler to brown a bit.
