4 c. flour 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. milk 1 c. oleo, softened 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 3 eggs
Prune filling: 3/4 # pitted prunes 1 1/4 c. water 3/4 c. sugar
Cut oleo into dry ingredients. Beat eggs, add milk and vanilla. Mix the egg, milk mixture into the dry mixture till have a medium soft dough. Set in refrigerator for at least one hour. Cook prunes in water until soft. Add sugar and beat to a paste with mixer. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Using a prune cutter, cut out , and then drop a teaspoonful of the prune mixture into the center of each ..bring four corners into center and pinch together. Bake at 375 deg. until light browned.
