OATMEAL CARMELITAS
350 deg. F oven. Grease bottom and sides of a 9-inch square pan.
1 c. flour 1 c. quick oats 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 t. baking soda 1/4 t. salt 3/4 c. oleo, melted
Combine above ingredients until it forms a crumb mixture. Press 1/2 into the bottom of the pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 deg.
1 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet) 1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over hot crust.
3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping 3 T. all purpose flour
Mix ice cream topping and flour, drizzle over nuts/chocolate chips. Sprinkle on the remainder of your crumb topping. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350 deg. Chill for easier cutting and enjoy!
