OATMEAL CARMELITAS

350 deg. F oven. Grease bottom and sides of a 9-inch square pan.

1 c. flour
1 c. quick oats
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
3/4 c. oleo, melted

Combine above ingredients until it forms a crumb mixture. Press 1/2 into the bottom of the pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 deg.

1 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over hot crust.

3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
3 T. all purpose flour

Mix ice cream topping and flour, drizzle over nuts/chocolate chips. Sprinkle on the remainder of your crumb topping. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350 deg. Chill for easier cutting and enjoy!

CHOCOLATE MINT BROWNIES

Base:  1 c. flour
          1 c. sugar
          1/2 c. oleo-soft
          4 eggs
          1 can (16 oz) Hershey syrup

Beat sugar and oleo..add rest of above ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 deg. F. 

Mint middle:  2 c. pwd sugar
                    1/2 c. oleo-soft
                    1 T. water
                    1/2 to 3/4 tsp mint extract
                    3-4 drops of green food coloring

Combine and beat until smooth, spread on cooled brownies.

Frosting:  3 T. oleo
              1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt chips and oleo together a short time..not too long or it will get stiff. Spread over the mint mixture. Enjoy!
